PARIS MOTOR SHOW – The first big auto show of the automotive season went underway last Thursday leaving us a preview of whats to come in the next few months and years within the automotive industry.  Here are the cars that we’re excited about for 2013 and 2014 from the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive

In the race of exciting electric cars, Mercedes-Benz is coming with a fully electric version of its SLS AMG supercar. The SLS AMG Electric Drive was not going unnoticed at the Paris Motor Show. Four electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack will get 740 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque inside the SLS Electric Drive. This four-wheel silent monster will get you to 60 mph from a stop in 3.9 seconds and zero emissions. Expect a lot of carbon fiber to compensate for the 1,208 pounds battery pack.

The new Lexus LF-CC Concept in Paris

Lexus LF-CC Concept

Lexus is coming out with a fresh and agressive style with the LF-CC concept car. The grill we’ve seen on the recent RX and ES is carved with more depth. Lexus seized the opportunity to talk about the upcoming hybrid 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that should be offered in the new two-door.

The new 2013 Jaguar F-Type at the Paris Auto Show

Jaguar F-Type

Jaguar is quickly showing signs of its intent to make a come back in the luxury market to claim a top spot. The addition of a 4th model with the brand new 2013 F-Type is another sign of it. Car enthusiasts will all remember the sexy E-Type in the sixties. Well we think Jaguar had a good shot at bringing back this timeless line we all love about the late roadster.  Borrowing the XF‘s platform, the all-new F-Type is smaller and looks more agile. Three engines will take place under the F-Type’s bonnet in the next year or so. Look for a great competitor for the Boxster and 911 at $69,000 base price

The New Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

Sadly, pretty much everyone thinks this is what the regular Panamera should have looked like in the first place. On the other hand, while we got used about the current Panamera, we’re now falling in love with the second one.  While the current Panamera is more a four-door coupe, this one is a true wagon.  All we can say is “wow”, for my part, I really want one. The concept showcased a hybrid motor with 333-hp V6 engine and 95-hp electric motor for a combined 416-hp, 0-60 in 6.0 seconds while achieving 67 MPG.

The New Bentley GT3 Racing Car

Bentley Continental GT3

While you won’t see many of those on the streets, we’re really excited about the racing car from Bentley which should take place on the next 24 hours of Le Mans.

The all-new 2014 McLaren P1 has 720 horsepower

McLaren P1

The long awaited McLaren F1 successor is finally here, and it’s hot as hell.  It will also be very quick. The car has a power-to-weight ratio of over 600 horsepower per ton. The new McLaren P1 is expected to go on sale at the end of 2013. Around 730 horsepower are expected for the P1 from a hybrid engine, sending another hybrid hypercar to hang out with the new 918 Spyder from Porsche and the Ferrari F70 Enzo replacement.

If you feel there are some cars missing, you are right, here’s the complete show in video.
