2014 MASERATI QUATTROPORTE – The new 2014 Maserati Quattroporte is going to be revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Until now, we had seen videos from Maserati and pictures of the new car. We now have more information regarding the new Quattroporte.

The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte gets two engines
Until now, the Quattroporte could only be ordered with a single engine, a 420 horsepower twin-turbo V8 developped by Ferrari. This time around, drivers of the new QP will get the choice of two engines. A brand-new, 410 horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 will get the Quattroporte from 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds and up to 177 mph.

Since the turbocharged V6 has almost as much power has the old V8, Maserati made sure the new engine would be powerful enough. A total of 530 horsepower were crammed into this compact 3.8-liter Ferrari twin-turbo V8. This engine will get the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte to 60 in 4.5 seconds and to a maximum speed of 191 mph, not bad for a saloon car!

The new engines will be built in Maranello in Italy when production starts early next year. The car will be built in regular and extended wheel base. The car will be at the Detroit Auto Show on January 14, 2013.
