Audi RS5 Cabriolet – If you live in beautiful California or in sunny Florida, you’ll be more than pleased to learn that Audi will be selling the RS5 Cabriolet in the United States starting next year. Audi announced today it will sell its 450 horsepower drop-top beast along with a very welcomed RS7 four-door BMW M6 Gran Coupe and CLS63 AMG fighter.
Confirmed for U.S.! The Audi RS5 Cabriolet!
We’re excited to see the Audi RS5 Cabriolet will make the trip here. What we would like to know though is if the four rings brand will be selling both Coupe and Cabrio versions of the RS5 at the same time. Audi has a specific track record with RS models selling only one model at the same time. This, however, proved untrue with the current TT RS and RS5 Coupe on the showroom floors across the country. Perhaps this is why Audi will not bring the RS6 Avant over.
The Audi RS5 Cabriolet will be powered by the same 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque on Audi‘s Quattro all-wheel drive system matted to a 7-speed, dual-clutch gearbox. Expect a premium over the current RS5 Coupe’s starting price of $68,900. A choice of several wheels will be available, including the amazing 20″ 5-arm-rotor design wheels with 275/30 summer tires (included in Titanium package), the optional ceramic front brakes, the sport exhaust and unique RS sport seats wrapped in Alcantara and fine Nappa leather.
What do you think about the Audi RS5 making the trip to the U.S.?
