The 2015 Audi Q9 will take on the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

The popularity of those large SUV commanding prices of $80,000 and more is a strong incentive to produce an Audi Q9. Next year, the Audi Q7 will be replaced by a more agile, lighter model thanks to extensive use of aluminum and lightweight technologies.  Both SUVs will share the same platform when the 2014 Audi Q7 and 2015 Audi Q9 come out to fight Mercedes-Benz’ GL-Class.

Audi is expanding rapidly its lineup of crossovers from 0 in 2006 to a total of 8 10 years later. Rumors say that the Audi Q1, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q9 will all get the Coupé variants in a near future. Like always at Audi, only time will tell.
