2014 RANGE ROVER SPORT – Land Rover is on a roll these days. With the new Range Rover making a debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a week, a new Defender coming to the states and the very popular Range Rover Evoque, it’s pretty clear that the folks at Jaguar Land Rover are aiming to stay the best in their field, even with strong competition.
The 2014 Range Rover Sport to get more aluminum
It’s no secret to anyone that the previous version Range Rover is a heavy SUV. At almost 4,400 lbs, it was loosing on the performance and fuel economy sides, two important things when buying a car these days. The new platform will help the 2014 Range Rover Sport to cut some 700 lbs over the last model. This means the 500 plus horsepower Supercharged V8 should be pretty interesting to drive.
Rumors also say that we might see a diesel Range Rover Sport in the U.S. All we know is that Audi’s also coming with a sport SUV with the Q8 and that it should be an interesting matchup in the years to come. Prices have not been announced for the 2014 Range Rover Sport, but it should come to about $61,000 starting up to the mid 90s.
